It’s hard to get things done with the Olympics on!!

The year was 1996 and the summer was balmy. I was 14 years old and the Magnificent Seven were my entire personality!! It was the last time I can remember being really invested in the Olympics. I’ve always loved gymnastics. Don’t we all. But I’ve never spent real time watching new sports I’ve never watched before. I’ve never checked the schedule and planned my day around sport. But I am LOVING IT!

And yes, I even subscribed to Peacock so I could keep up with the games. THAT’S how invested I am!! The Phryges are my favorite thing in the whole world (besides all the amazing athletes.) And I am considering actual Phryge merch.

Just LOOK AT THEM!!!! They are so cute and I’m gonna NEEED a Phryge tote bag, immediately! It’s not a want, it’s a need!!!

All that being said, it’s so hard to focus and get things done when there is Equestrian Dressage to watch!! (Who’s with me!?)

Nevertheless, I persisted. So here’s the What’s Going On of it all!

TBH, I edited this episode down as much as I could and still she’s a hefty, meaty girl!! But, I hope you enjoy!! We had a lot of fun recording this throughout the month of July!!

SUMMER BUCKET LIST

I have been derelict in my duties to have the most fun EVER this summer. I don’t mind confessing that to you, reader. I feel like you know me pretty well by now and there are no secrets between us!! But I got a case of the “Am I even good at anything” blues. And frankly, that is not Summer Lizzie behavior.

Summer is running out and it’s time to turn the beat around and recommit to the fun and hijinks of my 41th Summer on this Earth! So, here’s to unearthing my canoe (not a euphamism!), cracking open more books, hitting the hiking trails of central Florida, perfecting my summer braids, seeing ALL the Disney fireworks I can and eating lots and lots of melty, drippy ice cream. I vow to put the F-U back in FUN!!! 😉
