5 Favorite Things About Fall

I happen to be a summer girl myself. It’s my favorite season of all time and if I could just go from place to place just to always be where summer is, I would. My second favorite season is fall. It’s not so bad. But fall means winter is on the way, so it gets a bad rap with me. That being said, here’s what I like about fall.

#1 – Football Season

I’m a die hard Florida State Seminoles fan. Cut me open and see that I bleed garnet and gold. So when fall rolls around, I know that it’s time to get my game face on! Don’t bother me on Saturdays, I’ll be watching the game!

#2 – Return of my favorite TV shows

These days, with Hulu and Netflix and summer programming, shows are always on and always new. But I still love the feeling of when favorite shows are returning after a 3+ month hiatus. Rumors start flying about what will happen on the new season and we all binge watch the previous seasons to catch up. I love TV and fall is the very best time to be a watcher.

#3 – Halloween

Fall means that Halloween is just around the corner! And I love Halloween. What more is there to say about it. Candy, costumes, fun and family!

#4 – Chilly Evenings

Now, I like my weather like I like my men…hot, hot, hot! I prefer a nice balmy 82 degrees at Christmas time and I hate being cold. But there is something to be said for needing a nice, comfy sweater to wrap up in after 7pm. Whether you’re at the stadium, watching the game on a Friday or Saturday night or taking an evening stroll. Being wrapped in a sweater is a wonderful feeling.

#5 – Fairs, Festivals, Hay Rides and Pumpkin Patches

There are fairs and festivals all year round, this I know. But when I think of fall, I think of County Fairs and Pumpkin Patches and Hay Rides and Pie Festivals. It makes the end of summer a little more appealing. And I love carving pumpkins or at least putting lots of stickers and gluing pom poms onto pumpkins. Can’t do that in the summer, can I!!
