    Halloween Make-Up

Option #3: Mermaid I don’t actually have a character I’m basing this one off of. It’s merely my own interpretation of mermaid makeup. I used NYC makeup to get this look. A light green loose powder and a darker green pencil.

    Halloween Make-Up

Option #2: JEM! As a child of the 80’s, I have a very deep and abiding love for all things bright, neon and garish! So today I chose Jem. Because let’s face it… “Jem is excitment. Jem is adventure. Glamour and glitter, Fashion and fame. Jem is truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous!” I used…

    My Last Words

Last night, after a delish-ful reunion with a certain red-headed roommate (who was gone from my life for 5 whole days. Wah!), at Lillie’s on W. 17th, we stopped to get a donut at Dunkin. Cause sometimes a girl just needs a giant cinnamon coffee roll (don’t judge me!) So we’re walking and talking and…

    Star Wars EU Review

The Old Republic: Revan by Drew Karpyshyn Revan has quickly become one of my favorite books, not only in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, but among mainstream fiction as well. This Jedi turned Sith Lord, turned Jedi again plays a pivotal role in The Old Republic as well as the broader Star Wars Universe itself.…

Review: A Taste of Blood and Wine

It’s becoming a tale as old as time. No… not Beauty and the Beast, but rather, Beauty and the Vamp. You know the one… Girl meets mysterious boy. Girl is resistant at first but becomes mesmerized by mysterious boy’s charms. Boy ends up being the princely undead. Love story ensues. What I liked most about Freda…

    Aura of the Con

I won’t be at Comic Con till Sunday. Prior commitmets are keeping me from mecca this weekend. But knowing that the con is in town and that I’m not there feels wrong somehow. So yesterday I took a walk on the west side just to be around the essence of nerdom going on at the…

    Surviving New York Comic Con

Tip #2: DO NOT plan to eat at the Javits Center. It is important for you to know that not only is the food at the Javits not incredibly delicious, it’s also not incredibly cheap. It’s the opposite of cheap. It cost an arm and a leg and unless you are smack in the middle…
